Sean Seth PT, Cert. MDT

Owner and manager of Advanced Rehabilitation. An Erie native, Graduated from Daemen College in 1990 with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy. His prior employment experience consisted of working at a large local hospital, private practice experience and working as a private contractor and home health therapist. In January 1998 he started Advanced Rehabilitation. Drawing from his experience and background, he has been able to develop a personal, holistic philosophy which he incorporates into the care of the patients at Advanced Rehabilitation. In September of 1998 he became a certified Mckenzie Therapist which is, an internationally recognized specialization for the treatment of spine patients.

Jeffery Williams PT, Cert. MDT

Jeffery has been practicing in the Erie area for the last 19 years almost exclusively in an outpatient setting. He was the regional manager of eight Erie County outpatient offices for two years before joining Advanced Rehabilitation in February 2001. His clinical experience is in orthopedic and neuromuscular dysfunction including post-surgical cases, sports medicine, and arthritic care. Continuing education includes myofascial release, TMJ, and McKenzie diagnosis and treatment. In September 2004, he became a certified McKenzie therapist, which is an internationally recognized specialization for the treatment of spinal disorders.

Jason Balogh PT MSPT, Cert. MDT

Jason graduated with a BS/MS from D’Youville college in Buffalo, NY in 1999. He joined the Advanced Rehabilitation staff in June, 2007 with prior experience in PA and OH in orthopaedics, sports medicine, vestibular rehabilitation, acute care and pediatrics. He was a manager for two national physical therapy companies. Jason’s approach focuses on patient centered individual care. He became a certified McKenzie therapist in August 2003 which is a philosophy of active patient involvement and education that is trusted and used by practitioners and patients internationally for back, neck, and extremity problems.

Kelsey VanVolkenburg PT, DPT

Kelsey graduated from D’Youville College with a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy in 2017. She joined the staff of Advanced Rehabilitation in January 2019 and is an Erie Native. Kelsey brings orthopedic and sports medicine experience to Advanced Rehabilitation.  She is currently pursuing training for certification in the McKenzie method of diagnosis and treatment.

 
 

Christy Brooks MSPT

Christy graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Dept. of Physical Therapy in 2000. She joins the Advanced Rehabilitation team with prior experience in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Florida. She was also a manager for a National Physical Therapy Company. Christy brings 22 years of experience in outpatient orthopedics, home health care, post-surgical rehab, inpatient skilled rehab, balance, vestibular rehab, pediatrics, arthritis care, along with manual therapy techniques such as muscle energy, Maitland and myofascial release. Her continuing education includes Maitland techniques, vestibular treatments, muscle energy techniques, balance and myofascial release.

Matthew Zorn B.S., PTA

Matthew graduated from Gannon University in 2010 with Bachelor of Science in Sport and Exercise Science. He then graduated from Mercyhurst University in 2015 with an Associate of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant studies. He has 7 years of experience in skilled nursing and orthopedic sports medicine rehabilitation.

Heather Stewart PT, MSPT

Heather graduated from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA in 2006. She joined the Advanced Rehabilitation team in July, 2021, with prior experience in NY, MD, and PA. She brings 15 years of experience in outpatient orthopedics, acute rehab, and the home health settings. Her experience in those areas brings a varied skill set to the Advanced Rehabilitation team. She is currently pursuing the Graston IASTM certification and plans on pursuing McKenzie certification as well.
